Best way to find medallions or datums is with mods like loot detector or master thief. Use the minimap to find loot and it should lead you to secret areas where datum is found. The larger the squad the easier they are to find. Once you collect them go to a relay and you should go to that respected syndicate room and look around for a place to deposit your findings. Note handing in one syndicates medallion decreases standings for syndicates who hate them.
