5In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, you play as Captain Titus, a leader of the Ultramarines. The story happens on a planet called Forge World Graia, which makes weapons for the Imperium. The planet is invaded by Orks, led by Warboss Grimskull, and Titus is sent to help save it.
Titus and his team join forces with Lieutenant Mira, a surviving officer. They help defend the planet and discover a weapon that could defeat the Orks. However, when they activate the weapon, it opens a portal to the realm of Chaos instead, bringing in dangerous daemons. They also find out that Inquisitor Drogan, who told them about the weapon, had been killed and was being controlled by a Chaos Lord named Nemeroth.
Titus decides to destroy the portal using a giant war machine called the Titan Invictus. While doing this, his friend Sidonus is killed by Nemeroth, and the power source is stolen. Titus fights Nemeroth in a final battle and destroys the power source to stop him from becoming a Daemon Prince.
Afterward, Titus is arrested by Inquisitor Thrax because his fellow soldier Leandros believes he’s been corrupted by Chaos. Titus denies the accusations but agrees to be taken away to protect the planet and his team. Titus criticizes Leandros for not thinking for himself and blindly following rules. The planet is put under quarantine, and Titus is investigated for heresy.
