The game that everyone one and there mother claims to be like "Left 4 Dead, but with X"

After playing a good bit of it... I would say it is closer to Payday in all honesty... But all three are the same type in general terms...


My general and personal thoughts on the game...
I needs more polish... I did have some fun, but it has that PD2 thing going for it... where the AI is so bad... you might as well be playing by yourself... which is a nerve-destroying experience when there are essentially one-hit kill enemies that have little visual and audio feedback of their existence...

Allow me to say this... Lets compare the Hunter, The Assassin Rat, and The Cloacker... All share the same role of singling out a straggler... and can leap great distance (with respect to their worlds)...

The Assassin Rat has a distinct voice, but is not that loud, so it is hard to ehar when in the fray... It also has some glowing green knives... Which is easily visible from great distances...
The Cloacker has a distinct sound, and a very obvious sound when it charges at you... though the sound really doesn't play if you got instant corner fucked...
The Hunter has a musical que for when it spawns, it has a distinct voice when it is crouching (so ready to pounce), it has a distinct voice for when it lunges, and it is loud as hell when it is ripping someone appart...

Left 4 Dead 2 is admittedly a simple game when you compare it to other in the genre of this type... but what it does... it does right and well... When some is pounced in the L4D series... Everyone knows it... and have to actively ignore it to not notice... (PD2 and vermintide are not as obvious with their Speicals... Which is where I say comparing either to L4D is an insult to the perfection of L4D's systems...)

So if you can get some friends to play... Verminide is decent... and it shows potential... Don't bother with pubs... 3~4 days in... and we have already reached levels of PD2 toxicity... ALREADY!...

Also... Vermintide is funner than PD2... In all regards...
