🎮 Warlords of Aternum Review by #NimbleThor:
Warlords of Aternum is a turn-based strategy game with an extensive singleplayer campaign with hex-grid tactical combat, not unlike Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (HoMM) or King's Bounty: Legions.

As we play through the campaign, we collect gold, loot, and additional unit "cards" used to upgrade our units, but unlike HoMM, our units never truly die, which means we have to wait for them to revive from time to time, making the gameplay more bite-sized.

The difficulty is balanced just right and the gameplay is entertaining, but the game isn't shy of throwing $100 iAPs at us. I never felt a need to buy these, and Warlords of Aternum is one of the few well-executed games in the genre on mobile, but the iAPs DO enable the developers to hit us with a pay-wall down the line if they want to.
