Joo “Zest” Sung Wook is a Korean Protoss player who started his pro gaming career in the 2011 Proleague Season 2.

Since then Zest has consistently placed well in tournaments such as 2014 GSL Code S Season 1, GSL Global Tournament 2014, IEM Toronto, 2014 KeSPA Cup, and IEM World Championship 2015. Though even with all of his success he had suffered severe losses in what some considered a ‘slump’ early in 2015 when he failed to qualify for GSL Season 1. Zest’s ‘slump’ was short lived as he managed to place 1st at IEM Season IX – World Championship winning a Best of 7 series against Trap.

More recently in 2016 Zest dominated over his competition in the GSL Season 1 matches only losing one game to the Terran player, Journey. His impressive Protoss play utilizing mobility and consistently harassing or being ready to attack his opponents has been a major part of his success – as well as a thrill to watch. Eventually, his impressive play earned him the champion title for GSL Season 1 as well as securing his spot in the 2016 WCS Global Playoffs at BlizzCon.
