Bang “TRUE” Tae Soo is a StarCraft II pro gamer from South Korea playing Zerg.

TRUE has had a fairly active career playing StarCraft II since Wings of Liberty in 2012 and Heart of the Swarm in 2013 till Legacy of the Void.

In late 2014, TRUE tried to qualify for the SSL Season 1. During the qualifications he was able to beat Trust and INnoVation but lost to MyuNgSik. He eventually qualified for the Wildcard bracket where he beat HyuN in the Round of 16, but lost to Curious shortly after that, dropping out of the qualifier.

Only about a month later, TRUE attended Gfinity Spring Masters II- this time qualifying by beating MaNa, PtitDrogo, and Zanster and was placed into a group with Jaedong, ShoWTimE, and HyuN. He won the first match against HyuN 2-0, lost his second match against Jaedong 1-2, before meeting HyuN again, once again winning 2-0, to move on to the Round of 8. There he met against Bunny, who he crushed 3-0, through early aggression and incredibly strong plays, later on, to finish the Liquid Terran off. Moving on, he faced the eventual winner Solar, barely losing 2-3.

TRUE continued 2015 with a streak of great tournament results in DreamHack, he recorded a 2nd-place finish at DreamHack Open Valencia only falling 0-3 to Curious in the finals.

In 2016 TRUE made the decision to move to to the US and participate in the WCS Circuit. Although, due to visa issues TRUE missed two season of the 2016 WCS Circuit, but in June he received his documents in June and was officially allowed to participate in the 2016 WCS Circuit Summer Championship.

Moving regions meant TRUE was starting off the year without any WCS points and a very slim chance of making it to the WCS Global Finals, so the WCS Circuit Summer Championship was his only hope. During the tournament, TRUE reached the Semi Finals without giving up a single map to his competition until he faced his first Terran opponent, HeRoMaRinE. HeRoMaRinE was only able to win one map against TRUE and he ultimately moved onto the Finals where he defeated Polt winning his way to the WCS Global Finals.
