Just when you think despair has won, hope moves forward...


We begin the twenty-seventh episode by leaving off immediately where last episode left off. Consumed by overwhelming despair, we get up and answer the doorbell, only to see Maki standing there. After letting us know she will be in the dining hall on top of us looking terrible because we haven't cleaned ourselves up for a day and a half, we head to the dining hall shortly afterwards.


Upon arriving there, we see everyone was in the same state of despair that we were in, completely broken and wanting to die. After hearing everyone's thoughts, Maki explains that she saw a Flashback Light on the dining room table this morning. While this was the most out of place thing to happen so far, we still reluctantly see what memory it holds. However, unlike any memory we've seen so far, this one is full of hope...


That's right, this memory was about the academy that started it all: Hope's Peak Academy. This memory was a literal trip down memory lane as it showed everything was connected. We 16 are not *only* the last survivors of humanity, but also students of Hope's Peak. After the memory ended, the group became filled with motivation and hope once more as we set out with a plan to rescue Kaito...
