Weapons Interview: Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich Discuss Why Zach Cregger’s Movie is a Must See
Between Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps and the Disney+ series Ironheart, 2025 is shaping up to be a banner year for the MCU newcomers Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich. Now, the two co-star in Zach Cregger's new horror Weapons, alongside Josh Brolin and Benedict Wong.
In the movie, Garner plays Justine Gandy, a school teacher who's left reeling in the wake of a nightmarish phenomenon when all but one of her students go missing. The community is in outrage, and Justine, police officer Paul (Ehrenreich), and the parents are desperate to get to the bottom of this frightening mystery.
In this interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub, Garner and Ehrenreich both discuss how the script for Weapons is one of the best they've ever read. They also talk about working with Cregger and the cinematographer, Larkin Seiple (Everything Everywhere All at Once), how they strategize to capture unbelievable shots, and reveal which scene they were most looking forward to filming.
