Weather in Kochi: Weather improving from the west on the 12th - Weather forecaster Taku Yamagishi...
On the 12th, rain is expected in Kochi Prefecture due to the influence of a front and humid air, with heavy rain expected in some areas before noon. Thunderstorms will also likely occur in some areas. In the western part of the prefecture, light rain will likely begin in the morning, with periods of relief. However, the atmospheric conditions remain unstable, and even after the rain clears, overcast skies are likely to remain.
Daytime maximum temperatures are expected to be high, particularly in the plains. Even with rain, temperatures will likely remain above 30°C, making for midsummer days with humid weather. In the mountains, temperatures will likely fall below 30°C in many areas, easing the heat somewhat.
From the second half of this week, the front will become less clear and move away from the prefecture, bringing a return of sunshine. Temperatures will also rise, and there are likely to be days of scorching heat again in both the plains and mountainous areas. Caution against heatstroke is still required.
