Before they started to build weird shaped soccer fields in Thailand, there was an arcade game called Five A Side Soccer.
Five-a-side soccer is a version of mini soccer, in which each team fields five players. Other differences from regular soccer include a smaller pitch, smaller goals, and a reduced game duration. Matches are played indoors, or outdoors on artificial grass pitches that may be enclosed within a barrier to prevent the ball from leaving the playing area.
But the most significant difference is the shape of the field.
