Localisation should be a fairly innocent part of the industry. Translating a game for other languages should be a great thing that allows us all to enjoy more and more games.

Sadly, as with most things these days politics and nefarious agendas are at play and a lot of the localisation that gets done replaces the artist's original intent with borderline fanfiction from a crazy, purple haired "localizer" who ends up botching it and pushing social politics.

The sad part, there are people actually defending this...
