The Doom xbox one footage is captured on an xbox one and shared directly to one drive. The game has a dynamic resolution of 1080p that drops WELL below for most of the game. In fact it never looks like it's 1080p...EVER! Game looks like it's running at 720p which is EXACTLY what the game DVR captures at. The other footage is from Doom on PC at a native 1080p! BOTH games were rendered at 30 fps for THIS video however BOTH games WERE running at 60fps when they recorded. The XB1 footage drops below 60 ON occasion according to digital foundry and the PC footage runs well over 60 at med & high settings. That's right NOT ultra I run all my PC games at medium to high settings so this should be a realistic comparison of what we should expect when seeing differences between both machines. My gpu is a geforce 970 and an i5 4690k processor. Again the xbox one game didn't look quite as bad as this footage shows (but damn close, like you got soap scum on your tv) but the PC footage doesn't look as GOOD as it does when not compressed for YT. Now the One X boasts a gpu that rivals or if NOT better than my old crusty gtx 970 so if the results are not somewhat similar the ONE X will be an absolute waste. I don't want a simple lazy res boost I want better textures as well cause it makes a HUGE difference.
