The NERO helicopter is searching for something on the other side of the road. They seem to find it and begin to land, no way we're not nosing around! A bunch of NERO guys infancy gear jump out of the helicopter and form a perimeter around the landing site. They're not friendly, if we get to close they apprehend us, so we have to be sneaky. We sneak around them, following the odd one out in the group: seemingly some sort of scientist. They're all so geared up there's no faces to be seen but the scientist is a woman, we get close to what they're up to and listen.
They're studying all sorts of yuck at the entrance ot caves. Seems it's a Freaker nest! :S Apparently there's piles live here, they hibernate. Weird. The scientist is LT. Booth, she mention an "O'Brian", the same one from the start? Deacon seems confused by this, apparently he thought O'Brian was dead. Cpl. Franklin chases rocks around as she works. Sounds like the NERO guys have had some accidents with the Freakers but they seem to be studying them. We leave as they do, lots to think about. Deacon contacts Boozer but he's unhelpful on the whole O'Brian thing, thinks we're grasping at straws.
We set out again to take Leon's stash to Copeland. We manage to get some fuel along the way but also run into 2 different tree snipers and piles of goons! All the while Copeland is spewing his rubbish over his radio station. There are interesting things about the past among the nonsense though. we
