1Small- and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of the US economy. You are part are a massive segment, accounting for nearly half of all employment, 44% of GDP, and half of the $370 billion spent overall on technology (McKinsey).
Small- and medium-sized businesses also play a key role in the achievement of the American dream. You provide a pathway to success for millions of people and help protect our way of life, fostering opportunities for upward mobility for owners and your employees. You serve your customers like no one else can give back to your local communities, and pay your taxes.
America would be a very different place without you.
You are also under attack. It’s not tangible, might not seem real to you, or you might not think you have anything of value to a cybercriminal. By the end of this talk, you will have a very real understanding of the war we all need to fight and why. It’s less difficult than you might think, less complicated tha you probably imagine, and doesn’t have to be expensive.
