The period from 1793 to 1794 is referred as the Reign of teroror. During this period, Maximilian Robespierre ruled the France and he followed the policy of severe control and punishment or teriorised people with his harsh measure.
All those whom he saw as being enemies of republic like-Nobles and clergy, member of other political parties ete. - were arrested, imprisoned and guillotined. Mose then 15,000 person were guillotined dwing this period. When the Reign of terror became intalerable and people get angry with Robespierre and his followers. Finally Hi Robespierre was convicted and guillotined in July I 1794 and the Reign of Terror ended with his death.
