The last episode took a bit of a turn for the terrifying at the end there, but honestly, why wouldn’t it? Hidan was one of the characters with the most… unique powerset. His devotion to a near-unknown religion, surrounding a demon deity whose only desires seemed to be bloodshed and continual human sacrifice, seemingly based on the possibly true story of the Thugs of India who worshiped the destroyer goddess Kali and partook in ritualistic murder as a means of sacrifice. Given the occult connections, it’s impossible for this to not have certain horror aspects, but don’t you worry, things are definitely gonna get worse before they get better. Naruto is still attempting to come to terms with his new reality, having unwillingly partaken in what he can believed to be murder. The question is, why is this happening to him, and what is the reasoning behind it? Only time will tell, so sit right back and get ready. We’re going to continue this story today.
