Itachi and Shisui had worked so hard to stop their clan from attempting a coup, knowing that doing so would weaken Konoha and possibly lead to a war. Despite Danzo’s best efforts, Shisui managed to survive the attack and maintain his Mangekyo Sharingan. With it, he convinced Danzo not to attack, and then convinced the Uchiha not to attack. A for a time, everything seemed well. But Shisui had yet to realize that there was a third party, one that sought the destruction of the Uchiha. The masked figure, Obito, would wander into the village and proceed to make his way straight to Danzo, where he would tell him exactly what Shisui had done, setting Danzo on a destructive course of retribution. That retribution led to an attack on the Uchiha by the Anbu, as well as to the death of Itachi’s own little brother, Sasuke Uchiha. It was through this that Itachi awakened his own Mangekyo Sharingan. Together with Shisui, they cast a hybrid genjutsu so powerful that it caused the entirety of the Anbu within the Uchiha Clan’s hideout to commit harakiri. Now the battle lines are set, and a coup is the only option…
