Vsync is a feature of most modern games, designed to prevent screen-tearing by syncing up the vertical refresh rate of your monitor with the frame-rate of the game. Sound simple enough? It kind of is, but there are different things to consider, such as various types of vsync, including the excellent Nvidia Gsync and AMD Freesync technologies.
