VIDEO GAMES THAT MADE HISTORY PART 1 - COMPUTER SPACE FROM 1971
Developed by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney, was the first commercially sold arcade video game. Inspired by the 1962 mainframe game Spacewar!, it involved players controlling a spaceship to destroy flying saucers while avoiding enemy fire. The gameplay featured simple black-and-white graphics and was housed in a futuristic-looking cabinet.
Though Computer Space wasn't a huge commercial success, it was groundbreaking as the first attempt to sell a video game to the public. It paved the way for the creation of Atari, which revolutionized the gaming industry with Pong in 1972
