What Sen Sanders is Not Telling You
Here's a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzOWnQF0faM&t=15s with Jeff Epstein: Modern Money Basics which will be very helpful to those who want to look into this issue and understand it
Here's another which will help as well "What is #MMT and what is it not, on Geoff Ginter Live!" https://youtu.be/nraV362It34
Watch Jimmy Dore's recent interview with Dr. Stephanie Kelton https://youtu.be/H_il45h3Nmo I want to thank Jimmy Dore for finally having the very wonderful Dr. Stephanie Kelton on his show. Graham Elwood and Ron Placone have s spoken to Jeff Epstein of Citizens Media and Real Progressives about MMT and I think they now appreciate how important an understanding of this issue is. I hope this once and for all finally puts an end to the nonsense that MMT is some kind of "cult" or that MMT is "nonsense" and so forth. MMT simply explains the operational reality of the US economy ( and the economies of Australia, Canada, the UK and other sovereign economies). Real Progressives talks about this issue every day on their social media pages (@realprogressive on Facebook) and I invite folks to join them and learn more about this very important issue by watching the daily livestreams about MMT. This is a very important issue for progressives and for anyone who wants a Green New Deal, FREE health care, fixing infrastructure, elimination of student debt, a federal job guarantee if one wants to work, FREE education and so forth. The understanding of the operational reality of the economy (which is what MMT is) is essential for any third party which wants to successfully and competently answer the question, *how are you going to pay for it?*. Without an understanding of the operational reality of the economy (*which as I said is simply what MMT is), then one will never be able to successfully win a debate with neoliberals and neocons who promote the economically illiterate lie that federal taxes fund spending or the lie that we need to tax the rich to be able to afford FREE health care and so forth. We need to tax the rich for ethical reasons and for other reasons, but not for the reasons that people think we do. We certainly don't need their taxes to fund these social programs. The US is monetarily sovereign and is a currency issuer. It cannot go broke and it CAN afford everything we need to live happy healthy fulfilling lives. Any politician who says we need to "tighten our belts" or claims that the government budget is like a household budget, or who claims we cannot afford Medicare for all, or elimination of student debt and so forth is EITHER intentionally deceiving you, or is economically illiterate. And for those who hate capitalism (and I am one of those people), just remember that we need people to be able to survive and utilize the operational reality of the economy as it is right now, and this will help us move toward a more equal and fair state for us all. #LearnMMT
