0Video games are a wellspring of inspiration. They inspire me to write, draw, and create my world. I'm a YA fantasy author, and I use the inspiration I get from video games to write my novel, Adventures of Rel Rel and the Forbidden Book. I usually find it hard to think of anything when I don't have a good game to play. I love the stories, the characters, and worlds that you can only find in video games.
For me, that's Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Psychonauts, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Bioshock, Nights into Dreams, just to name a few, and most recently, believe it or not, Fortnite. I'm not good at the game, but damn is it fun! There's a lot of interesting character designs and I'm actually invested in the story. Yeah, oddly enough I play Fortnite for the story, even though that's not what it's all about. But it inspires me!
