People sometimes express their concern that a product review or critique might be biased, be it of a video game or a sword, knife, firearm, tool, gadget, etc. While that concern is valid and understandable there is also a bit of irony in it, since there is no such thing as an unbiased opinion. Objectivity, to the limited degree that we as subjective humans are capable of, is of course desirable when offering a buyer's guide, but our recommendations can (nor should) ever be 100% free of bias. Otherwise they would be devoid of our knowledge, experiences, preferences, etc, which are very much relevant information for consumers.

In the video I talk about different kinds of bias (bad vs. harmless), being aware of it and dealing with it as a reviewer. Also with regards to free review samples, as opposed to an item purchased at full price.
