So the other day I was Messing around on the interwebs- ya as you do! And while I was aimlessly searching instead of working on the things I actually want to work on. I decided to look up the amount of games based on the Slugterra series- a tv show I grew up with in my childhood which I’ve always thought would’ve been a great video topic as I think I’ve got a pretty good pitch for a large game project for them – but as I typed things something some hit me like a silent freight train and I was shocked to learn – they just release a new slugterra game last month!? What! so obviously I got excited and Opened it up to check things out and was kinda disappointed tbh

Slugterra All Stars, cute nice lil nod to mario as this is also a compilation of classic games ytears later. However this was without a lot of modern enhancements, as this was just a few flash games emulated with a unity engine launcher as well as a joy to key like app since they didn’t add native controller support… OK? This is defiantly an odd release you know? I mean it’s kinda cool I guess to make some older game more avalible especially with the death of flash so many years back. But fans were so confused like yeah it’s cool but why is the quality so ehhh and why only four games? If it’s an emulator with minor enhancements surely you could just include all the flashgames in this compliation instead of just four…. Outta like six? Maybe Seven? And made me really think- how weird of a spot Slugterra is as a franchise. Like I mean I don’t think I can come out and try to tell you that it was this crazy successful like thing. But I mean we had like seven lil seasons – well some of them are mvoies cut into four epsiodes – But like still we had a successful tv series that has lowkey flourished in syndication on many streaming services and now for free on youtube. Alongside with many animated shorts, guide books, toys, and of course video games incude the wildly profitable- I mean popular Puzzle Battler Slug it out and it’s sequel slug it out 2 that still gets updates and events til this day. And we’ve got this roblox mmo thing… it’s pretty clunky with a lot of the enemies not really fighting back. But the pvp is actually quite fun so get you a few buddies it’s free but also it wont let you forget about all the things you can buy!
