Fatal accidents haunt aviation, starting from the very first attempts mankind made to get off the ground. But the number of accidents is steadily declining with each passing year. All thanks to the most essential information that can be collected and analyzed after an accident.
But what allows us to save the data people paid so dearly for? How do those fragile chips remain intact after a monstrous devastating impact of the accident? And what loads are the emergency onboard recorders capable of withstanding?
