Wheel of Fortune for the SNES was the second game of the series to be created by Imagitec, following up on Wheel of Fortune Featuring Vanna White for the NES (https://youtu.be/yspikWMYt0w ).
The game is nearly the same as we saw on the NES, but the benefits provided by the move to more powerful hardware are immediately obvious. The digitized photo of Vanna White at the beginning is an impressive bit of flash, there are several bits of digitized speech recorded by the hostess peppered throughout, and there is some fun use of the SNES's mode 7 effects to recreate the spinning wheel. It also features a new bank of 4,500 puzzles, so this one is likely to last you a bit longer than any of the NES carts.
It's a bit tacky and simple, but then, so is the TV show it's based on. I don't think it has quite the same amount of charm or appeal as Rare's NES games did, and the music is weirdly depressing, but it gets the job done on Nintendo's 16-bit hardware.
