It's official: E3 2021 will take place, and it will be a free online experience open to the public. The ESA has published a list of participating publishers, which makes for an interesting read.

Do publishers really need E3 because so many have their own digital events and showcases? This appears to be a question for the Console Crew to answer! In this week's show, we got together to discuss the news. They discuss Sony's absence and Xbox's participation in the massive summer event in particular. They also talk about E3's future and the show's ambitions to become an in-person experience in 2022.
