The New Orleans Saints are an interesting case study in football. They're a team that was one of the juggernauts of the league a half-decade ago, but have suffered setback after setback. Heinous refball in that game (you know which one), injuries galore, and repeatedly kicking the can down the road with restructures and cap hell have led to a slow spiral. One that has led the Saints down to the mid-tier ranks. It's complicated: They have legitimate claims of sabotage, but there's a lot they've done wrong themselves. Things that have forced them into this bind with little chance of breaking out of it.
