I'm see a lot of examples lately of people trying to monetise their content soon after starting before they're even eligible to run adverts on their YouTube videos or get subscribers on Twitch. Although it can be very tempting to start a Patreon, launch a merch store or open a donation page to start getting some return on all the work you're putting in to your content creation, in this video I explain why that might be a bad idea, and how you're better off long term waiting until your audience are ready for your to monetise.
