When You’re Disabled, You're Supposed To Be Poor
Being disabled brings enforced poverty to thousands across the United States and elsewhere around the world.
We’re not allowed to save money. Doing so would push us through the margin and we’d lose income and insurance. We can’t have any sort of nest egg to help us, such as when needing a car repair or something worked on in our home. All we can do is pray and hold out hope everything we happen to own remains in good condition, because if it fails, we’re out of luck.
We are, quite frankly, in enforced poverty because we cannot step outside of the boundaries the government has imposed upon us.
So, we remain stuck. We remain poor, because we have no choice.
This is the story of my wife and I, and some of the hard decisions we have to make because we're both disabled.

I was born with a genetic defect in my eyes that makes me see too much instead of too little. Blindness is a heck of a thing to try to game with, but I love to play, and I hope you will have a good time watching.
I am also an author with over 14 books and dozens of short stories published. I have created audio dramatizations of some of my stories on YouTube with professional-level sound design and voice work for your entertainment.
Thank you from the depths of my soul for being here and being awesome. IF you choose to do so, I accept donations gladly. Anything you are willing to give goes directly to feeding my family and helping us survive.

The genetic defect I was born with is Keratoconus. Essentially, my eyes are pyramid-shaped, rather than the normal egg-shape you likely have.
The disorder is progressive, but thankfully it has, as I have gotten older, plateaued somewhat, and though it is a blinding disability, it still allows me to see just enough to play games for you.
There is no cure, and the only option I have is corneal transplants. That option is bad for me.
I use a monitor arm to bring the display within a few inches of my face, which can make things... interesting.
For a point of reference, one is considered blind if their vision in their good eye is worse than 20/200. In my good eye, I am sitting at about 20/3600.
