When Zelda meets Bloodborne in this Cult PS1 Classic - Alundra [PSTV] - Ep. 15
Alundra is one of my favorite action platformers of all time that was released for the Playstation 1 on April 11th, 1997. While it borrowed very heavily from The Legend of Zelda, make no mistake: Alundra is not just another Zelda clone. It improves upon the formula of the original, but is much less forgiving and much more challenging than the traditional Zelda title, which is why I've always affectionately referred to it as "Zelda for Men" due to its more mature story and gameplay mechanics.
It was the spiritual successor to the isometric Landstalker for the Sega Genesis, and although Alundra technically has a sequel in Alundra 2...we don't really talk about that.
While Alundra isn't very well known, it's garnered a cult following for being an underrated classic whose sprite-based graphics really withstand the test of time.
The footage for these streams was recorded from a Playstation TV using a Viewport HDMI Splitter (VHD-1X2MN3D ) which bypasses HDCP protection.
