In-depth analysis of Morrowind's starting town, Seyda Neen.

Everything we know and more! The truth about Seyda Neen's crime and corruption! Morrowind like you've never seen it! Ok, I'll stop with the sensational titles, how about: an in-depth look at Morrowind's starting area? No one is going to click on that, what if I present it like a story? This is how this video was born, also: Morrowind Analysis, Morrowind Worldbuilding, Morrowind Stories. I didn't know which one to put in the title, so I'm writing them here for You, Tube!

An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. You can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on your own to explore strange locations and develop your character based on their actions throughout the game. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, open-ended gameplay, and an incredible level of detail and interactivity, Morrowind offers a gameplay experience like no other.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is the third installment in the Elder Scrolls series, set on the island of Vvardenfell, a district in the Dunmer homeland of Morrowind. In the closing Third Era, a prisoner is sent to the island and freed by order of the Emperor, tasked with investigating the native Nerevarine Cult amidst the rising threats of the Blight and the Sixth House.

Rather than having a vast, procedurally generated world space like its predecessors, Morrowind had a more focused game world that was put together manually through the use of the Construction Set software developed especially for the game. This software was included with copies of the game to enable players to create mods, a feature that would go on to become a staple of Bethesda releases.

Morrowind was released for Windows on 1 May 2002 and for Xbox on 6 June 2002. The Collector's Edition, a version including exclusive collector's items, was also released for Windows. The Game of the Year Edition, which bundled the game with the expansion packs Tribunal and Bloodmoon, was released on 31 October 2003.

Today, Morrowind Game of the Year Edition is available digitally for Windows from Steam and GOG.com, and for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S from the Microsoft Store (also being included with Xbox Game Pass). The physical Xbox releases of the standard and Game of the Year editions are backwards-compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
