Why are so many Poor People Racist?
32The statistics are a bit more complex than that, but it's hard to look at a 'Free Tommy' demonstration and not come away with the distinct impression they're all pretty poor, uneducated and virulently racist. This rather turns on its head the idea that racism is 'privilege plus power', since poor people have neither privilege nor power. How can we tackle this?
