Why Are We Obsessed with Sequels in Video Games?
This is more of a conversation starter and something that has been on my mind for many years! I've noticed a huge shift in that it seems everyone always expects and asks for video game sequels, even when the story doesn't have anywhere to go. I've also seen video games start to purposefully set themselves up for sequels at the end of first games, when the first game could have been a complete story. Thinking out loud here about that culture and how we've gotten here! Would love to hear your opinion in the comments below 💖
