In the early 2000s a lot of kids thought Digimon was just some weird Pokémon rip-off. Which couldn't be further from the truth as the anime was generally speaking aimed at a more mature audience and the storyline was more involved. Also, only a handful of Digimon games even play remotely close to Pokémon so the comparison isn't exactly right. With Digimon Story: Time Stranger due out some time in 2025, does it make sense for Bandai Namco to remaster the Digimon World Trilogy from the PS1 era?
