Why do horror game devs do this?
I'm making a full video about this game - sub to not miss it
๐ The Callisto Protocol had all the ingredients to be the next big survival horror hit. Created by Striking Distance Studios and directed by Glen Schofield (the mind behind the legendary Dead Space), the game promised tense sci-fi horror on Jupiterโs moon, Callisto.
๐ The visuals and atmosphere are absolutely stunning โ dark corridors, grotesque monsters, and that eerie sense of isolation. The potential was HUGE.
โ๏ธ But hereโs the problem: the combat and gameplay just didnโt deliver. Clunky melee, frustrating mechanics, and a lack of variety left many fans disappointed. Instead of becoming the spiritual successor to Dead Space, it felt like a missed opportunity.
๐ฌ What do you think? Was The Callisto Protocol unfairly judged, or was it truly a flop compared to Dead Space? Drop your thoughts below!
