Why does King Charles avoid Buckingham Palace?
According to a royal expert, King Charles appears to be uncomfortable in Buckingham Palace.
Hugo Vickers, a royal scholar, claims that Prince William and Harry's father, King Charles, would never leave Clarence residence, which he describes as "a magnificent 'country house' with a large garden, right in the middle of London".
Hugo went on to clarify that the King will only visit the Palace for official events like meetings, receptions, and state banquets.
Buckingham Palace is as distant from a family home as you can get, with its 'cold and impersonal' combination of state rooms, offices, and hotel-like apartments, according to a royal expert.
According to the magazine, the Palace has served as the kings' formal home since 1837.
Many Kings and Queens have previously called the Palace home, but today's royals do not appear to be fans.
King Charles' mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, used Buckingham Palace as her primary residence, but she spent the most of her time in Windsor or Balmoral Castle, particularly in her latter months of life.
