521Since the first Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer, we've seen that Heartless don't cast shadows, but it has nothing to do with the game's development, nor is it a mistake.
The Heartless in the trailer and in the May screenshots are Purebloods, and unlike the Crests, they've never cast shadows. It's a curious fact, and you can see this attention to detail in any game in the series.
I mentioned this a few months ago on Twitter, but this way it won't be forgotten.
