Why Drake Maverick is a huge problem for WWE

To be clear, i hope that Drake Maverick is rehired and i have not monitised this video as i'm not looking to benefit from his current unfortunate situation.

WWE has a problem though because they caused this situation by firing Drake Maverick in the first place and will look heartless if they don't rehire him now.
Especially considering they interviewed him straight after his loss (see the thumbnail) and played his emotional reaction to being released twitter video during the NXT show.

It could be that they have plans to rehire him.
Well if so, why wait???

Drake Maverick needs job security and a livelihood just like everyone else so why put him through all of this if the plan is to rehire him in a few weeks time???
That seems equally as cruel right now.

Alternatively.... what if he has already been rehired but they are using this as a story?

People are going to feel very angry if this is all exposed as fake and the backlash could be very harsh for WWE and unfortunately Drake Maverick as well.
The goodwill people are showing him is because they believe this to be a real struggle that he's going through. If that's not true and this is all a work then people are going to feel mislead.

The final scenario is that Drake Maverick was never really released by WWE.
WWE just announced that he had been then faked his twitter video and everything you've seen since.
I think in the current climate that would be tasteless.

So i can't see a positive way out other than WWE giving him his job back now and trying to forget that any of this happened.
