'Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind', a statement found in Dune's Orange Catholic Bible referencing the ban on AI in its universe.
As the dystopian hellscape of 2025 becomes even worse thanks to AI slop, and AI taking over people's lives generally, many are talking about Dune messaging on AI and wishing for a similar event to the books in which all AI is completely destroyed.
Frank Herbert was a libertarian who believed in 'Techno-peasantry', believing humans should only use technology to help in their survival which seems to be in direct contradiction to Technofeudalism, which is how the billionaire class have enslaved us all to pointless technology. His views are sounding better and better by the day.
