11COPPA is here and WE AIN'T HAPPY. This law will literally kill family friendly channels and kids channels. And if you make a mistake in how you mark your videos as being made for kids or not, WE WILL BE WHOOPED WITH A FINE.👽
Please please please, before the 9th December 2019, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR PUBLIC COMMENT TO THE FTC AND GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS LAW.

AGAIN MAYDAY, we have until December 9th to have our say in the new COPPA law. I've just noticed they have received over 152,223
comments now!! 👀, so please use this opportunity to voice your thoughts. If this law goes through, people will either leave and stop doing what they love, or they will have to change the way they love doing content to fit a damn box. (PLUS THE FREAKIN $42, 000 SOMETHING FINE)

COPPA: Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
Extract from the Change Petition:
'YouTube viewers and creators petition the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to clarify and reconsider the new Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA Rule) regulations on YouTube creators. Shutting off personalized ads on creators’ content will cause more harm than good, especially for children. Quality family-friendly content will shrink, while more mature content will grow — yet kids will still be watching'.
As in effect of 1st January 2020, you will be required by the FTC to mark your videos as being made for kids or not (to co-operate with COPPA law). If you mark your videos incorrectly, you can be face with legal consequences and a fine. Channels who are made for kids will lose features such as the comments section, personalized ads, notification bell, community tab, stories, etc. Again to reiterate, channel creators can face COPPA fines of $42,530 per video, if videos are labelled wrong. This fine may be difficult to avoid especially if your videos fall into a grey area.
