Why Ironhide's arm cannons were Really ditched in Transformers 3. Considered the Autobot's weapons specialist, Ironhide undoubtedly lived up to his name. He had a spark of iron and was tough as nails. He also boasted some of the most effective weapons. His arm mounted cannons. But the powerful artilery was dropped by the time the 3rd movie rolled around.
