It's no secret that I have a love/hate relationship with the Sonic games. I enjoy Sonic and yet I'm simultaneously perpetually frustrated by Sega's treatment of the brand, and this frustration has only grown over the years as it seems more and more like every project is a monkey's paw scenario, and this game is no different. Sonic Unleashed is a game that I find most people either passionately defend, or despise with all their being, I've decided to take it upon myself to re-evaluate the game and give my opinion on what could very well be the key to the extreme shift we've seen from the series in recent years.
