The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 6th, 2024. The game is free-to-play with a current line up of 33 characters from Marvel Comics.
Gameplay
Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 player-versus-player, third-person hero shooter title.[1] With the right combination of two or three characters, players can make use of &34;Dynamic Hero Synergy&34; which further maximize their playable character&39;s combat efficiency.[6][7] The game also features destructible environments, allowing players to alter the battlefield (overseen by Galacta) to their advantage.[6]
As of November 2024, 33 playable characters have been officially announced.[8][7][9] Additionally, five locations have been confirmed for the game, those being Yggsgard, a fusion of Asgard and Yggdrasil, Tokyo of 2099, the home of the Klyntar, Hydra Charteris Base set in Antarctica and the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda.[10][11][12][13][14] The game has three modes: Convoy, Domination, and Convergence.[15]
Plot
