In this short video I try to explain Groundspeed Mini. A very clever system on the Airbus that can be extremely useful.
I fly the A320 series for a living and get to see this feature in action on a regular basis.
I hope this will help you to understand how GS Mini works and why the Airbus sometimes does what it does.
As a side note: The examples in this video are pretty extreme and of course pilots on other aircraft take measures to avoid the sown scenarios.
