Why The Path Of Exile Build Meta Always Feels The Same
Why The Path Of Exile Build Meta Always Feels The Same
Following the launch of the event I’ve seen a number of comments and had a couple conversations all centered around the dominance of PS and LS.
"Diversity in SSF is even worse, if you sort by dps its 95% ps. If you sort by level it's a bit more diverse but still, mostly ps. I really like scion scav as a core ascendancy for the base game though. Just rotate the uniques out every single league it would actually be fun/creative. But ps shouldn't be this much of the playerbase imo, it's making dd look balanced."
There’s one part of this comment in particular that I want to focus on, which is that last sentence.
This is a commonly echoed sentiment, whether it be about PS or LS currently, or other skills historically.
I enjoy this sentiment every time it comes up because I find that it highlights something awesome about the way that environments mired in competition operate, and it always asks the question:
Is it a bad thing that there ends up being a meta skill or two?
