11,230Why was the Chameleon rejected from Kung Fu training? It doesn't add up that it was just because she's small. I mean, look at Mantis, he's tiny and he became a kung fu master. So, was she given the wrong reason for being rejected? Here's what I think: First off, in "Secrets of the Scroll," we learn why Mantis got to be a kung fu master. Second, the Chameleon wasn't just small; she was also a reptile. In both the real world and the Kung Fu Panda universe, reptiles get a bad rap. Except maybe for the viper clan—they're seen as honorable. But most reptiles are portrayed as thugs or villains. Even Master Croc was a criminal before turning his life around. Third, I reckon there were some kung fu masters with prejudices. It's not far-fetched to think some might have had issues with her species. Saying she wanted to learn just because Mantis did is silly. This is just my theory, but maybe the real reason she wanted to learn kung fu was to get respect and power for herself, not to serve society.
