Why you should be concerned about new HDMI 2.1 Specifications... 8k60, 4K120 - AT WHAT COST?
381The HDMI Forum have finalized the specifications for the new HDMI 2.1 standard. This brings forth 8k 60hz and 4k 120hz support, a MASSIVE 48gbps bandwidth on the cable, and new features like Dynamic HDR -- but at what cost?
A new round of HDCP DRM and incompatible gear so soon could make for some very angry early and late adopters of 4K.
