Wii Tron Evolution: Battle Grids G11, 2P local splitscreen 2v2, Runner Battle on Corkscrew Pinwheel.
Hello You Tube. We team up against AI Bots in this 2 vs 2 team death match-like arena battle! Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
(3:03) Round 1 in Corkscrew.
(10:22) Round 2 on Pinwheel.
We play as:
Player 1: Standard Runner.
Player 2: Durable Runner.
Being able to set the AI difficulty of each individual bot, is something I always wish I could do in other games that have them. Take CoD Black Ops 3 for example. Wish I could equip them CoD bots too. This would had allowed me to create custom sniper or shotgun battles for instance. Think of the possibilities. An AI Bot team with a variable AI difficulty range would make them more realistic. All this I can do when playing good old X-Wing Alliance.
One has to get a bit used to the weapons here:
Minigun: Unlimited ammo and does not overheat or anything. Just let it rip. Close/mid range.
Turbo: When on turbo an energy is created on front allowing one to ram another. Otherwise, use it to escape a sticky situation.
Blaster Cannon: Three bursts of 3 shots. Close/mid range. Lest favorite.
Hyper Beam: 2 rounds. Because one needs to be very precise, stop in a good position before taking careful aim. Mid/long range. The durable Runner can withstand a hit.
Missiles: Three bursts of 3 guided missiles. Mid range. Use turbo and terrain to avoid.
Energy Grenade Launcher: 4 shots. Mid range. This one can be tricky. Use where/when the enemy bunches up. Carpet bombing an objective or power up can work. I think it's best in 4 player FFAs.
Mines: 2 Mines. Booby trap objectives, power ups spawn points and high traffic areas. Maybe one can catch a pursuer with it.
Shield: Unlike in Tank Arena, there are no Health pick-ups here, so this can extend one's life at a critical moment. It makes one invulnerable for a short amount of time, except if one collides against a light wall apparently.
There's a spot in Corkscrew where the AI seems to bunch up or get stuck, making themselves vulnerable. Guess they can't figure how to get that power-up that's floating there. This makes fighting them easier than on the other 3 maps.
