The new gameplay trailer offers players a first look at environments and characters from Will’s ruined hometown where a community tries desperately to recover, showcases the game’s simulated yacht controls and open seas, reveals the first puzzle gameplay and navigation, and highlights WILL: Follow The Light’s spectacular vistas set beneath the calm of the northern lights.
WILL: Follow The Light is a story-driven, first-person adventure puzzle game about a perilous personal journey through the harsh northern latitudes. To find peace and reunite with his family, Will must sail across endless waters, face numerous challenges, and ultimately discover himself.
Players assume the role of Will, a lighthouse keeper on a remote island in the northern seas. The story begins during one of Will’s lonely shifts when an unexpected radio message shatters the routine: a sudden disaster has struck his hometown, and his only son is missing. Determined to find him, Will sets out on a journey aboard his sailing yacht, “Molly.”
WILL: Follow The Light blends classic walking-sim gameplay with puzzles, set-piece moments, and original and lifelike traversal systems on the sea and on land. As players progress, they will solve puzzles rooted in real life, take to the seas in a realistic sailing yacht, chart their path using an authentic weather station and lifelike navigation system, and traverse snowy trails by dog sled in search of answers.
