Will target Russian gold in next sanctions package: EU
The European Union will target Russian gold exports in its next sanctions package and seek to "close exit routes" for those bypassing its earlier packages, Maros Sefcovic, deputy head of European Commission, said. So far, EU has approved six sanction packages against Russia over Ukraine war. The last package, passed in June, implemented a ban on most Russian oil imports.
